Mirene Mairena, Esq.

Mirene Mairena graduated from Florida International University College of Law receiving her Juris Doctor on May 27, 2011. She attended Florida International University for her undergraduate degree where she received a Bachelor of Science, Cum Laude in Criminal Justice, and a minor in Sociology and Anthropology. While earning her undergraduate degree, she worked as a legal assistant for six years at Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, P.A. During law school, Mirene was involved in the Cuban-American Law Society, Phi Alpha Delta, and Women in Law Society. She was selected to become a member of the Board of Advocates and competed with both the Appellate Advocacy Team and the Trial Team. This gave her the opportunity to represent her law school in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court competition, the world's largest and most prestigious moot court competition. Mirene was the recipient of the Cali Award of Excellence for Focused Topics in Employment Discrimination and the Excellence in Service to the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic Award. She was also awarded the Mario P. Goderich Scholarship by the Cuban American Bar Association. Mirene is currently a member of the Cuban-American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, Ms. JD, and the American Bar Association. Mirene is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of Florida and the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida.
